Buyer’s Guide

Congratulations in taking the first steps of becoming a Homeowner! Below is a brief guideline of our buying process to ensure you are confident every step of the way.

1. Meet With Agent- It is important to sit down with your REALTOR^®  to determine your new home goals and desires.  I will help you determine how much you can afford, lender recommendations, and an overall action plan for your home purchase process.
2. Get Pre-Approved- As your REALTOR^® , I will introduce you to top lenders to address any credit concerns, determining the right mortgage, and getting your pre-approval letter.
3. House Shopping- Once you get your pre-approval letter from the lender, let the shopping begin! You will be asked to discuss your criteria in further detail and will be sent a list of available properties within your budget, location, and desired interest.
4. Offers & Negotiation- Congratulations, you’ve found a property! Now it’s time to put in an offer & negotiate. As your licensed REALTOR^® , I will draft and present all on your behalf in efforts to securing your future home.  Once the seller accepts your offer, you will be asked to execute a purchase contract.
5. Escrow- Now that you are in contract, you will deposit your escrow funds accordingly as a good faith deposit on the home.
6. Inspection & Due Diligence- During the inspection period, you will order a complete home inspection and any other reports as required by the bank or insurance company.  During the inspection period we will discuss all items of concern with the sellers and renegotiate if necessary.
7. Pre-Closing & Title-You will be required to finish the loan process with the lender and obtain a Clear to Close from the lenders underwriting team. Any pending items with the Title company will also be addressed before you can close.
8. Closing- During closing you will sign any required closing documents, complete a final walk-through of the home, pay the final balance due, and get the keys.
